It's the 5th of July

Please step aside
The celebration's over

Wow that was a lot of food.

So we went to Sean and Jen's for a lunch cookout yesterday, with David and Ellen, and their upstairs neighbors Asma and Kaiser. It was a lot of fun hanging out with everyone. We grilled burgers and veggies, and played rounds of Munchkin, Apples to Apples and Five Crowns. And if you're looking for a birthday gift for me, I wouldn't mind having any of these games, wink wink.

We left Bethesda around 4:30 (after I came in second place in Five Crowns) and headed out to VA for cookout #2. It took us a while because we hit two huge stormbursts, one with hail. Fun stuff. There ended up being 22 people at Matt's aunt and uncle's house, including the extended family, their across-the-street neighbors, and a few of Matt's cousin's friends. A water balloon fight broke out at some point, but I managed to steer clear of all that. Matt wasn't quite as lucky. There was more grilling and too much other food, as usual, and some fireworks in the backyard and other people's yards. All in all it was a nice day.

Posted more pictures in the photoblog, and I'll probably have another set up in a day or two.
